Cure your winter blues with a vintage poster from Cheffins' auction

A variety of unique prints are up for auction this Thursday morning

A collection of vintage posters dating from 1820 to 1961 is coming up for auction this Thursday (23rd October) at Cheffins, one of the leading auction houses in the East of England.

The prints vary from Henry Mayo Bateman's humorous lithographs to Second World War propaganda. The single owner collection also boasts posters by Emile Antoine Bourdelle, which were commissioned to announce the 1925 Art Deco exhibition. Estimates start from £80.

Our personal favourites are the original film posters, which include artwork from Warner Brothers’ 42nd Street and Disney’s 101 Dalmations.

The lots are available to view here.

If you can't make it to the auction room, give yourself a fighting chance of owning one of these stylish prints by heading to www.cheffins.co.uk/fineart at 11am.

The October Art and Design Auction will be at Clifton House, 1 & 2 Clifton Road, Cambridge, on Thursday 23rd October from 11am. 01223 213343; www.cheffins.co.uk
